Forum: Exploring Intersectionality: A hands-on workshop to understand and address impact in workplaces

An interactive forum designed to deepen understanding of intersectionality and its impacts on workplace experiences. Participants will explore how intersectionality is more than a combination of identities. It is a way of understanding how overlapping systems of inequity shape people's experiences at work.

Participants will gain:

  • A clear understanding of intersectionality as a lens, not an identity checklist

  • Skills to identify how overlapping systems and structures shape employee experiences

  • A deeper understanding of how power, privilege and systemic barriers operate in workplaces

  • A systems-thinking approach that moves beyond siloed diversity and inclusion practices.

  • This is a great opportunity to connect and learn from peers, and gain practical takeaways on how different sectors are addressing inequity in workplace systems.

Who should attend?
DEI and HR professionals of all experience levels, plus anyone passionate about workplace equity. Diverse lived experience and perspective at the table will enable us all to learn.
